Its a very cheap hairdryer and its an excellent buy ive had mine over a year and I dont give it enough credit I mean we practically use them everyday and we take them for granted so I thought I would share this with you I love babyliss and I always have great things to say about them, I have babyliss straightners too which when my GHD's decided to just pack up I ran out and bought them (if your like me you cannot live without them) well anyway they were only £29.99 and im happy with them too I didnt even feel the need to replace my GHDs.

Always try to get your hairdryer at least  2000 watts or over as less than that then you may take way over the normal 10 mins ish for short 20ish mins for long hair and your hair straightners 235 degrees that may sound extreme if your not sure what to buy but believe me I have had less heated ones and have done my hair more damage by having to go over my hair more with them rather than use the hotter ones that will straighten your hair first or second attempt always use a heat defence spray/serum as makes a lot of difference.

Great item 8/10 would score higher but will upgrade to 2200 babyliss of course maybe in the next 6 months.

This is a cute gadget its a nice purple and white colour its quite small and easy to hold in your hand, the instructions are simple enough to understand, there are other attachments as well.

I bought this to use on my arms and legs only no way shape or form I am brave enough to use this on my bikini line or under arms.

I have to admit I was a bit afraid to use this after speaking to people on Facebook I heard a few horror stories of pain pain and more pain lol not very encouraging.

I took the plunge and thought just get on with it, I used it as instructed on one of my legs making sure the hairs werent too long as it would seriously hurt if they were, so off I went and Oh MY God I SCREAMED MY HEAD OFF and there was a few swear words in their to.

Imagine a million little tweezers grabbing the hairs on your legs and just ripping them out!!! this is what it felt like.  It took me nearly an  hour to do one leg and I was sweating (with fear or pain I dont know, maybe both!) I didnt do the other leg until the following day (what a coward I am) that actually wasnt as bad so maybe like advised I had gotten used to it a little bit,

After once sweating and swearing again I reached for a bar of chocolate and I felt much better!!

Later that day I decided to be even  braver and do my arms (eeeeeek) I have shaved my arms since I was 19 and no they never did grow back twice as thick (old wifes tale google it if you dont believe me) It didnt take me long and it only hurt half as much as the legs which isnt really reassuring lol.

Once finished I brushed the loose hairs out (there were alot) then took the top of the epilator and did the same and that was that. Unplugged it and put it in the nice little wash bag provided for hopefully another 3-4 weeks I hope im not one of these people where it grows back sooner I am not suffering if I dont get at least 3wks reprieve.

This particular model Philips HP6509 says its one of the easier epilators that doesnt hurt as much Im not convinced pain is pain isnt it?  And the more you use it the less pain you feel for example like plucking your eyebrows for the first time then not even thinking about doing it after a few months (I pray this is true!!)

I cant recommend this as Its only been a few days and my arms and legs are still smooth I didnt have stubble rash or ingrowing hairs that sometimes can happen with these devices (but so can razors) and I would say after 3 days I usually have stubble peeping up and there isnt so far so good.

I will let you know but I think Im going to like this after all they say No Pain No gain ad there is no price on beauty blah blah blah!!!

This is a follow up to the above iformation dated the 10 may 2012
I have been using this for weeks now and my legs are fine no probs I can only get away with out redoing this for a max of 2 weeks before regrowth but I am dark and fairly hairy lol still  not sure its worth the pain (although its not as bad as the first time) I would prefer to do this once a month not twice.
The arms not good for me I had ingrowing hairs after 4 days where nasty little spots came up I didnt like that and thought it maybe the breaking in period of when I first started using it but alas no.  I wont be using this on my arms again.  So for me its only really good for my legs but everyones different and buying it wont break the bank.

ClearZal Bac Fungal treatment 30ml

Clear ZalBac Fungal treatment 30ml  £19.99
Please please do not waste your hard earned money on this product.

I havent found any information that really gives this any credibility so I cant really list anything like other products promise.

I purchased this from Superdrug and and luckily for me it was half price (not that ive seen it cheap that often)
It comes in a tube that you squeeze onto your toes after filing them then you rub it in to the infected toes its quite clear and doesn't smell to bad. It did last for a reasonable amount of months.

After nearly a year using this nothing had changed no improvement at all.
0 of of 10 please dont waste your money buy yourself a bag instead

Scholl Fungal nail Treatment 3.8 ml

Scholl Fungal nail Treatment 3.8 ml £18.99 Boots
This is the last treatment I think I will waste my money on as I am now getting the impression none of these products actually work.  I have tried Excillor nail pen and curanail and clear zal but to no avail.  T-tree oil rubbed in your toes works a little and ive heard vapor rub works if you have the time or patience to rub it in your toes  every day and smell like you have a permanent cold, although I actually havent tried that yet.

So I spent yet another £20 on another nail treatment sighhhh..... I live in hope.
Its only week one and I dont expect miracles as I know it can take 9 months to a year for a toe nail to grow out so this may take some time.

The product is simply a small bottle of clear varnish (wish they would do a colour so you could at least wear sandals whilst they are healing or growing out) at one end and you get about 5 files in the top end of this device to file away some of the nail then like you would with nail varnish you paint it on the infected toes and  leave it to dry and get on with your day. You file infected toes once a week and paint the toes once or twice a day.

This is what scholl have to say-

Scholl Fungal Nail Treatment helps prevent spread of infection and recurrence, and is suitable for treating mild fungal nail conditions.
Why is Scholl Fungal nail treatment different?
Scholl Fungal Nail Treatment is a uniquely designed system for the treatment of fungal nail.
The discrete, easy to use treatment has been specially formulated to penetrate into the nail to kill nail fungus at its source. It also helps to prevent the spread of the fungus & protects against recurrence.
It is an effective, caring solution that can be used at home without prescription.
Dermatologically tested.

What are the visible results?
At the end of the Treatment Phase the level of discolouration on the nail is reduced
After 9-12 months which is the average length of time a human toenail takes to grow-out completely, the discolouration will have disappeared and nails will have recovered with no signs of fungal infection.

What is fungal nail?
Fungal nail is surprisingly common; it is an invasion of fungal species underneath the nail. The fungi are passed from person to person by direct contact and are carried by carpets, socks, shoes and hosiery.

What are the symptoms?
  • Yellow/brownish discolouration of the nail
  • White 'islands' on the surface of the nail
  • The appearance of the nail is rougher, more brittle and with ridges.

What happens if it is not treated?
In most cases the nail will eventually crumble and become detached from the toe or finger.

Contains:
5 disposable files & advanced formulation.

How to Use

Phase 1: Treatment Phase (4 weeks)
To kill the nail fungus
  • Weeks 1 - File the nail surface once a week
  • Dispose of the file after use
  • Apply the advanced liquid to the infected nail daily
  • Repeat for weeks 2, 3 & 4

Phase two

Apply the advanced liquid to the infected nail
once a week for 9 months or untiI the discolouration has grown out

NaiI varnish or artificial nails should not be worn while using this product.

Ok so lets give this a go I will get back to you on this

I have been using this for two weeks now, I dont expect huge improvements this early in the game so im not going to say anything negative as yet.
My nails look the same and on one of my smaller toes it does look like some of the nasty yellowness is starting to grow out  the others have a  long way to go I think before I see an improvement.
So keep you updated but its so easy to do everyday without being a mundane Job to remember and it drys quick so as for application alone its doing good.

Its been over a few months and I can see improvements and do think it will work over a long period the problem im having is its summer here I want to wear sandals and I cant so at the minute im going to have to stop using it as I need to wear my sandals to let my feet breathe in the heat or my toes will get worse not better.  My advice would be start this in the autumn so you have a good go at it for a long period of time.

Olay total effects wake up wonder 30ml

Olay total effects wake up wonder 30ml £14+
I bought this from Boots it was half price and for the size of it so it should be 30ml very tiny bottle for the price, I have read some great reviews about this so I thought as I am a fan of Clarins flash balm then its worth trying other products that offer you that wide awake look at 6.00am lol.

this is the promise as spoken by Olay

WHAT IT DOES:
  1. Line minimisation
  2. Hydration
  3. Firming
  4. Improves Dullness
  5. Gentle Exfoliation
  6. Minimises Pore appearance
  7. Anti-oxidant to prevent free radical damage
HOW IT DOES IT:
Incorporating effective levels of cooling moisture with an intense anti-ageing complex of Vitamin B3, Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E, the multi-tasking formula of Olay Total Effects Wake Up Wonder works on 7 signs of ageing because it helps skin re-awaken from the skin dryness cycle.
  • Instantly and for 24 hours: the formula with Olay Hydrating Moisture, and mint extract, boosts moisture levels to re-awaken skin with cooling refreshment
  • In 1 week: the formula with VitaNiacin complex (with Vitamin B3, ProVitamin B5 and Vitamin E) helps enhance the rate of surface skin cell turnover to reveal fresher looking, more youthful skin
  • In 1 month the formula with Vitamin B3 supports skin’s natural lipid levels which helps strengthen and restore the skin’s moisture barrier to lock in moisture. At the same time, skin’s natural emollients, NMFs (natural moisturising factors), are restored so skin feels softer.

Ok so thats the hype about it now the proof.
Its only been week one so fair to be fair its early days, I got up washed my face and put on some of my Ysl youth liberator serum (see review about that)

I wait for my usual cream to do its work for about 20 mins (a gap in time is recommended when putting on more than one face cream) by finishing getting ready then just before I leave I put some of this on.  Its smells lovely its white  and not greasy or to thin it rubs in really well.

So far its been a week, im not noticing any of my lines getting better or my pores any different but my skin certainly is hydrated and it stays like that all day.
I will keep you updated.

The only major flaw is no SPF tut tut tut Olay that is disappointing, if I was to put one over this then it would be over kill on creams for my face, so maybe its something they can improve on.

Its been a few weeks now and I like this product, again im not seeing any improvement in my wrinkles (7 signs of aging) but my face certainly looks more plumped out after application and the smells nice and it rubs in great when you are half asleep and cant really be bothered with much at 6.00am in the morning!!

I have had a few breakouts but nothing major enough to make me stop its early days so I will continue to use it.

No7 Beautiful skin foaming cleanser 150ml

No7 Beautiful skin foaming cleanser 150ml £8?

I bought this from boots as I had one of those £5 boots vouchers you get now and again when boots have their offers on. its an ok size with a clear bottle with a greeny liquid inside.
I cant say Im a huge fan of No7 to be honest I think its over priced and over hyped.

I  bought this for £8 only to be charged £9 in not sure what was going on that day but the sales assistant was adamant it was £9 oh well never mind.

I started using it in the evenings in the hope it wipes away the  daily grime.
Its a foam which is ok you have a little bit waste when using the pump action top but it goes on fine and you rub it in, word of caution please dont get this in your mouth and I know you wouldnt do it on purpose well I hope not anyway lol but its the a vile horrible taste worse than soap.

After a week my reply would be MEH! its ok nothing special, if your using something at the minute and its ok for you then I wouldnt bother changing to this, personally I like baby soap and use a cleanser or toner(any one thats on offer at that time usually a couple of pound would do.

After three weeks I went back to my baby soap and I use this If my pores still feel clogged up after a night on the town as it does give you that fresh feeling.

I would give it 5 out of 10

Its like the No7 facial wipes which used to be only about £5 now they are £7 just too expensive and again not that good.
If you get a Boots voucher for No7 its always worth trying their products though.
