AF33 ANEW CLINICAL EYE AND FACE CREAM REVIEW

AF33 ANEW CLINICAL EYE AND FACE CREAM REVIEW

This can be purchased via Avon website the price fluctuates up and down depending on the offers on.
You can also purchase via eBay or Amazon normally at a cheaper price.
I bought the set from eBay and paid about £21 so not to bad for eye and face products.
Face cream is 30ml and the eyecream is 15ml

I got so sick of the hype that I bought this talk about peer pressure lol!!

The cream from the eye cream is nice its light and white and rubs in really nicely.  I didnt have any bad reactions to it.
The face cream is also white, light and is slightly greasier but thats understandable its got a lot more to cover.
The tubes are a nice attractive silver and being the magpie that I am I was immediately drawn to them which is wrong but never mind girls like shiny pretty things.

I used these two in unison for 2 months solid as I managed to purchase the same duo from a friend that didnt like the products as they made her eyes sore so something to think about if you have sensitive skin.

Sorry to disappoint but here's another set of creams that do not do as they promise, when I first read about this they were bragging that they basically had 100% positive feedback from users im wondering who these testers were maybe 20 year olds that had perfect skin to start with who knows but I know one thing like the review I did for Estee Lauder CP+R these products just dont work.

My wrinkles are the same as ever and skin round my eyes no better and no worse I would say an average moisturiser and no more I would probably give it 5/10 for the moisture value only.

This is what Avon have to say if your still interested.

Read Amazon reviews too as a lot of them are similar to mine.

Estee Lauder perfectionist CP+R firming serum hype or tripe!

Estee Lauder perfectionist CP+R firming serum

I have saw this serum for sale from  £50 to £60+ at most large chemists its a 50ml bottle.
Of course I didnt pay that especially when you dont know if its going to be any good.
I bought 10 sachets from Ebay for £15 and they did last about a month they do say less is more and in the cases of serums this is usually true.
To me Estee Lauder product is more of a thick cream and not a serum I hated the texture of it straight away and when I put it on my face it felt like I was putting a dry type of cream on no sooner had I applied it then it seemed to dry, felt like talc.

when I first used this I thought ok its not the best cream it did rub in ok for a powdery like cream but when I went to check my reflection before I left for work I was horrified it looked like I had a kind of film over my face, not to be defeated I thought ok I will use it at night then where no one will see me lol!

I used this for a month sometimes twice a day at weekends but to be honest I have no idea what the hype is all about to me its rubbish and thats being kind Im 41 so a good age for something like this to really get to work im not some young 21 year old who thinks they have wrinkles when they dont, I have wrinkles and the lines up the side of my mouth are a lot more prominent now than 10 years ago. so in a nutshell please please dont waste your money on this it really does not work at all.

This is a bit of information I found about this product if your still interested.

Garnier new simply essentials cleansing wipes 25

Garnier simply essentials cleansing wipes 25

These wipes are available from most chemists and beauty stores prices vary I got these for £1.45 but they are more than likely over priced like most of this type of product and will usually be from £2.45+ (rip off theres nothing to them but a bit of cloth!)

I have to say I found these one of the better ones especially as I like my waterproof mascara and eyeliner so I need something heavy duty to get the eye make up off.

They are the usual white cloth like material but I did find these ones a bit extra moist which is a better help as some of them you buy you have to add a bit water to dampen them and I think that kind of defeats the object to buying them

It states 2 doses in one wipe being cleansing milk and they contain vitamin C I'm not bothered about that type of hype as long as they do the job to which they certainly do.  Well done garnier something handy to take on holidays and to just have handy.

Fergie Purse Spray Collection

Fergie Purse Spray Collection £12 at the minute usally £15

A trio of fragrances from Fergie. Contains Outspoken by Fergie, Viva by Fergie and Outspoken Intense by Fergie Eau de Parfum Purse Sprays, 15ml each. Card gift box.

Available now at Avon special offer £12 and well worth it.
3 bottles of 15ml lovely decorated bottles in a carded box beautifully presented.

I had no idea how they smelt as I had never tried any of her perfumes before am so glad I did, all of them are lovely and lasted most of the day.  They are sweet so if your not into that type of scent then this wont be for you.

Recommended as Christmas is coming and this would make a great present even at £15 I wouldn't have complained.

Clinique even better eyes- Pie in the sky or better under eye

Clinique even better eye

Heres the internet advice on this product

NEW Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector

NEW Even Better Eyes has the power to brighten the appearance of the entire eye area. Plumping hydration makes thin eye-area skin appear less transparent and the cooling massage tip refreshes tired-looking eyes. Optics instantly brighten all skins, fair to deep. All skin types.  £28.00 10ml

  • For best results use twice daily after your 3-Step Skin Care Routine
  • Gently massage the cooling tip across the undereye area.
  • Perfect finish: Even Better Makeup SPF 15

  • I have checked on the internet for the long term benefits its claims to do but to be honest I cant find any or what beneficial ingredients it contains, so if anyone knows can you add to this blog please.

I bought this with no great high expectations Ive learnt not to get too excited about a new product, so being cautious that I am I only got samples I managed to get 10 for £5 form a reputable seller on ebay and one sample lasted me a week as its not the type of cream you pile on.

The cream is more like a paste its an orangey tan colour didnt seem to thick or thin. I used a thin brush to dab it around my eye area then I gently rubbed it patted it around by dark circles.

I have to say they did look a little better but not enough to say wow I look like ive had a good 8 hours sleep (I wish I usually only get 6 if im lucky im a bad sleeper.) The real test after a week was to use this after a heavy night out I only got 4 hours and hungover one sunday morning so knew it had its work cut out for it, and again it helped a little but I still put my concealer over the top to mask my eyes more and to save the disaproving looks my mother would give me for still partying in my 40's oh dear!!!

I have been using this nearly two weeks now twice a day as instructed but it hasnt impressed me enough to buy it again, maybe I need to try it a few more weeks and come back to this blog again, it doesnt seem to give enough coverage for my liking maybe Im passed help where my dark circles are concerned  who knows but for the price alone I wouldnt repurchase to be honest.

If anything changes I will up date you.

Colladeen visage review magic pill or over kill

    Colladeen Visage

    Heres the science

    Anthocyanidin / Pro anthocyanidins: 320mgGreen Tea Leaf:275mg (provided by 50mg of a 5.5:1 extract)
    Lutein:6mgZeaxanthin :240µg

    60 tablets about £18.95

Heres the Info that is supplied for this product.

Colladeen® Visage contains high strength anthocyanidins as found in Colladeen® Original as well as two further ‘skin loving’ nutrients, lutein and green tea extracts. Previous studies have indicated that anthocyanidins, the blue and red plant pigments found in dark skinned fruits, may help to keep collagen healthy by literally blocking the action of free radicals and destructive enzymes known to progressively weaken collagen as we age. Research also indicates that lutein, a well known carotenoid, may play a protective role against the damaging effects of sunlight.

Now, a new placebo controlled 12 week clinical study has shown that Colladeen® Visage can offer statistically significant skin benefits that include
    • Improved skin elasticity and firmness
    • Reduction of wrinkle depth and appearance
    • A natural protection from sun damage

Colladeen Visage provides an impressive dose of pure anthocyanidins from extracts that concentrate these active compounds by up to 500 times their level in the original plant material, making this one of the richest sources of anthocyanidins you can buy.

Ok so I am 40 so realistically this product should be good for me as I have all the signs of aging, small thread veins, wrinkles, saggy jowls, purple tired eyes, ok so its just starting to happen but this surely should improve and help in these problems well read on with the diary I kept.

I bought these on the Internet via a good website that I knew was reputable for vitamins etc.  They took over a week to come not impressive really I expected them in a few days as I received an email saying dispatched then the tablets arrived 5 days after that.

    Week one

The tablets are a salmon pink colour slightly coated and dont taste of anything really, you take 2 a day (why cant they just put all the ingredients in one tablet surely it cant be that hard!)

    Week Two

Taking two a day as instructed but finding that later that day have a vile after taste all day in my mouth and an all most indigestion feeling ( I never get indigestion!) drinking lots of water which will probably alone make my skin clearer.

    Week Three

Still that awful taste, so I decided taking it at night, but woke up with a nasty dry mouth but was better than the week before as no indigestion.  No change in face in anyway shape or form.

    Week Four

Getting bored with this now as still got a dry mouth ( I haven't changed or added anything at all to my diet so I can safely blame these tablets.)
No change to face the same reflexion stares back every day sigh........

    Week Five

I have another packet , no change to face or skin I went out in a poor sun today and still caught a slight bit of sun and it wasn't even that strong mmm factor 10 I have my doubts.

    Week Six

No change no comment still bored.

    Week seven

I asked some of my friends today and my husband if there was any change to my skin at all bearing in mind up till now I hadn't told anyone I was taking them, all comments were no change.  Still dry mouth.

    Week Eight

Still fishing for compliments but no luck that could be because theres no change just a dry mouth.

    Week Nine

Nope nothing to report oh maybe a dry mouth and indigestion again!

    Week Ten

Really studied myself to day and noticed a small spider vein starting to appear under my eye isn't that what this product is supposed to help prevent.  Dry mouth as usual is this beauty lark really worth it!!!

    Week Eleven

One week to go yeyyyyy before I can say I gave it a go and stuck it out for the 12 wks that was recommended, No change no compliments, dry mouth and on off Indigestion.

    Week Twelve

Last two tablets that im ever taking and thank god, that's me done no more!
    conclusion for me anyway
Taken through the day bad taste in mouth nearly all afternoon
taken at night in the morning chronic dry mouth
    Indigestion
and the most important thing of all still got my wrinkles, dark circles and a new spider vein.
My advice take the £18.95 and go get yourself a new dark circle cream or foundation.

    Week 13

    No indigestion yeyyyy
    No dry mouth woop woop
And my skin actually looks more hydrated (strange!)

Calypso once sun cream SPF 40

Calypso once sun cream SPF 40

This is a hidden gem of a sun cream really cheap and it works
I went on holiday recently and took many lotions and potions
Ultra Sun 30 and 50 SPF
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour sun cream SPF 50
    P20
See my other blogs for reviews.

Ok back to calypso you get a whopping 150mls from anything like £7 to £9 depending on where you buy from. Home bargains is the cheapest and Amazon sell it if theres not one in your area.

I bought this as an after thought as I was using ultra sun/Elizabeth Arden on my face and P20 on my legs (for some reason my legs just dont tan very well.) the rest of me arms and torso I usually take a banana boat type lotion but I get so fed up of reaplying that I just wanted to put it on once and just get on with  my day so I purchased this.  Now some reviews were good some bad so it obviously depends on your skin maybe if you are really really fair it may not be strong enough but for the price its worth shoving in your case to try, just make sure you apply generously.

Its a large tube and theres enough to last probably a few weeks, the cream is like a light beige colour it has a slight smell but its quite pleasant, its quite thick and takes a bit of rubbing in but if its once a day then I dont mind.  It felt a bit greasy and sticky but as the time passes it sinks in and you dont really think its any worse than others I have used and pay a fortune for, but I did rub a bit off and felt I needed to patch myself up but I was carrying quite a big bag so it was hanging from my arm.

I had this on all day and apart from the bag incident not once did I burn on my arms or torso or had to reaply.  I was impressed I did think as it was cheap it would cause me to break out in spots but it didnt.

I think this is a must have I am quite fair and this was SPF 40 so for the first 4 days I used this religiously then I went down to ultrasun 30.

    Heres what the internet says.

    Calypso SPF40 Once a Day Lotion: 150ml

One application protects for up to six hours, it has UVA/UVB protection, is suitable for children, and is water resistant. ...No, this not the slogan of the latest Superman film, it's just an amazing sun protection lotion! Features:

    • activates after 15 minutes
    • Also available in 10 & 20 SPF

Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream spf 50 & Ultra sun spf 30 & 50

Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream SPF 50 & Ultra sun SPF 50

I will start with the Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream SPF 50
I bought this online its quite expensive and you have to just trawl the Internet until you find a good price.

I used this on holiday where I went to Lanzarote they were having a bit of a heat wave and it was in the 90's hotter than my last visits at this time of year, as I am fair and have had Ipl treatment I knew that I needed a strong sun factor.

I had read a few reviews which were mostly good although one reviewer said it did not give 8 hours protection but I didnt have this problem as I wasnt really in the sun light eight hours, another concern was the smell which a small percentage didnt like.

Its quite a thick white cream and it rubbed in ok I didnt look like casper the ghost for too long but it did take a little while to sink into my face and looked a bit greasy for quite a while.

The Smell is vile to me smelt like lemon sick luckily for me this smell didnt linger or I wouldn't have used it again that week.

It does what it says it gives good coverage all day although I did have to reapply to my shoulder blades and bony parts on my decolletage but like every other cream I have used this happens to me, I also noticed that where I took my sunglasses on and off there was slight burning so looked like it wiped off easy.

I probably wouldnt buy it again I think the smell is foul and it does wipe away exposing your skin to the sun so thats a bit concerning and the price is a bit on the expensive side. I paid about £10 and you only got 30ml.

Heres what online info tells you about this product

This lightweight, oil-free lotion helps protect your skin from sun exposure while hydrating for up to 8 hours. The powerful SPF 50 helps shield skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays that can cause sunburn, surface skin cell damage and premature signs of ageing.
    • Provides powerful SPF 50 PA+++ protection to help shield skin against UVA/UVB rays that can cause sunburn, surface skin cell damage and premature signs of aging.
    • Lightweight, oil-free lotion helps protect your skin from sun exposure while hydrating for up to 8 hours.
    • Suitable for all skin types.

    How to Use

Apply liberally and evenly to face 30 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply as needed or after towel drying, swimming or perspiring.

    Ultra sun SPF 30 & 50

    On my holiday I also used Ultra sun I bought 4 x 15ml of SPF 50 and 4 x 15ml and 2 x 30mls of SPF 30 what can I say I like to try everything lol.

The cream is like the Elizabeth arden one its white and quite thick and took a little bit to rub in but once it drys and sinks in it didnt feel greasy or look greasy as much as the the 8 hour cream.

It worked well and like before I did have to stop  (for the odd cocktail of course) and re touch again my bony bits.

I didnt burn anywhere and the cream didnt smell of anything at all another plus side apart from the lack of lemon sick it also contains anti ageing products unfortunately cant say I came back looking any younger sigh....

This is a little gem and it will be on my list next year I only used the SPF 50 on my face and neck, ears.

I didnt have enough of the spf30 for my whole body but I did get a few days use of what I had as I had bought a large bottle of calypso once which was really cheap so please read my other review  on that one.

The 30 and 50  SPF are excellent a good tip would be to buy it at the airport as I found the full size bottles under £20 its not really that much expensive than other products at say boots or a department store which are very poor in comparison.

Heres the info from the internet
    50+SPF Anti-ageing formula - all day protection
Advanced all-in-one skin care and sun protection.
Ultrasun Face 50+SPF & 30 offers optimal protection especially under extreme sun conditions requiring particularly high sun protection. It boasts a special liposome formula which hydrates the skin and helps to diminish the signs of ageing - perfect for sun protection during the summer months and those fabulous holidays abroad!
It is free from oils, emulsifiers and perfume reducing the risk of allergy and making it especially suitable for sensitive skins. Like all Ultrasun products, it is non-greasy, water-resistant and easy to use. apply 15 minutes before direct sunlight.

A few people have found to be allergic to this so it maybe worth buying the sample sizes as shown above you can buy these sizes via Ebay or QVC do a set inc the lip balm so well worth looking into.

This is my version of P20 as Im fair so this is ideal for fair people and I still got a golden brown tan as well.

The best hard skin foot file and hard skin tips

    Hard skin foot file

I have tried every foot file in the universe (well maybe  not but it feels like it!)
I suffer from awful hard skin it will never go away ever I keep it at bay best I can but once a week I have to attack my feet with various devices I own.

What not to waste your money on tried tested and failed!
Ped egg-  Im not keen on this its harsh and doesn't get right the way down to the smoothness that us women desire.

scholl foot file- Just useless infact I think its about £7 of uselessness!!! doesnt do anything for bad dry skin.

pumice stone-  what does this actually do ( It didn't even remove the fine top layer!)

Scholl Cracked Heel Repair Cream -  You still have to file the skin down first but once you've done that its ok but nothing special.

Scholl- hard skin pen - do not waste you money this is a gimmick and a crap one at that!

Boots gorgeous foot file - nope nothing gorgeous about it a bit like a ped egg

Soap and glory foot buffer - Nah wasn't very good like a grater and it hurt.

Any cream will not work well unless you get rid of some of the build up of dry skin always file feet first. Metal files are not very good.

What to get or at least try

Bodyshop File- expensive £5 for what it is but it works it will file away your hard skin nicely.

Boots smoothing foot file - Not as good as bodyshop one but will do the job.

none of these files are metal they are like a big nail file but big enough for a foot.

Ok so you have filed away the hard/dry skin now to moisturise

Argan oil mixed in with E45 keeps your feet soft for a bit longer than normal

Soap & glory body butter has rave reviews

Good old Vaseline works for me and is cheap as chips.

Most creams will work but the oily ones are better, rub in feet pop a pair of cotton socks on and sleep in them over night.  Not a solution but a help

The latest thing out is Udder cream yes you read this properly the stuff they use on cows udders don't fear they have made a human version called udderly smooth you can buy this via Amazon or eBay Im going to try this when I get  back from my holiday its anything from £10 onwards so try research the best deal.

loreal preference capri for brunettes revamped or tramped!!

    loreal preference capri for brunettes

Price varies from £6 upwards depending on offers from the likes of Boots- Superdrug-Supermarkets

I have always used either excellence or preference depending on what was on offer at the time I am not faith full to one particular brand if its the right price and suits my purpose then I will buy it.

I have been using Loreal preference for a while now and it has always done as it says but what did preference go and do they revamped it one word preference "mehhhh" it no longer did the job that it used to do.  They have spoilt it with adding silly shining serum which to me made the liquid greasy!
Anyway I mixed the different bottles as instructed then evenly put on my hair left it 30 mins washed it off, dried it, simple!

My grey at the sides and in my fringe was still there tut tut tut!!!!

I wrote an email to L'oreal stating this I doubt I will hear a reply as big firms sometimes dont care I mean what is one customers whine to them probably nothing at all.

Word to the wise use excellence then when they revamp their product change to something like Nice and easy as they are pretty good too.

     Good old preference
    New not so improved preference

    Veet wax strips sensitive skin

Veet wax strips pack of 20 £7.00 Boots/superdrug

I dont usually use wax I dont really like it its sticky and well it hurts and unlucky for me it gives me serious nasty ingrowing hairs.   But this isn't a review really from me as I use these on my husband he has hairy patches on his back and the back of his shoulders which is annoying for him to say the least of course I get the job of waxing this hair away (oh the Joy!!) the good bit is to do it in a bad mood then if it hurts him you dont care!!!

These strips arent very big for the price and the latest box I bought since May are smaller (shame on your Veet!!!!

Veet are one of the best I have used (well on my husband) they go on well once you warm them up in your hands smooth them on the hairy area then Yankkkk it off which is the fun part make sure your pulling the right way.

I did this on the stray hairs where needed  and the box of 20 didn't last so had to buy another box so not the best value for money in that respect, the end result was good it did the job but there was a little blood and redness of the skin but that depends on how deep the hair goes.

I would give it 7/10 it would have got more but the price is a little steep although it is better than other brand makes which are by most supermarkets and they were terrible they didn't pull the hair out properly maybe cheaper but not worth it.

Olay Regenerist 3 point fragrance free cream

Olay Regenerist 3 point fragrance free cream 50ml
Sold anywhere from £15.50 amazon/ebay to £24.99 to £29.99 Boots or Superdrug

This cream is way to expensive for full price, considering Olay was always a beauty budget cream so what happened Olay why the expensive prices these days!!!

I bought this for £15.00 via ebay and thats about all I would have paid for this I have used olay products before, see my other reviews and Olay isnt a bad cream the problem I find is the fragrance I dont like it and it gives me spots so two reasons there why I probably wouldnt buy it and the price (another dig!) so make that three reasons.

Ok your probably thinking im not impressed so far and probably wont buy it but read on.  Its a big red Jar with a silver lid quite attractive they do say red is a colour that attracts the eye when out shopping so probably tactics where thats concerned. So the amount 50ml is a fair amount, the first thing I did was smell it and like it said on the tin it didnt smell of much just a light pleasant smell.  The cream is thick and should be rubbed around your fingers to thin it out otherwise you would use way to much.

I have read great reviews about this and was looking forward to trying it which I did on the day it arrived.

Let me tell you the science bit

Olay Regenerist 3-Point Treatment Cream targets the 3 hardest to treat areas with our most powerful cream ever...
Olay Regenerist 3-Point Treatment Cream provides dramatically younger-looking skin around the 3 hardest to treat areas - your eyes, jaw line and neck. It's Olay's first super-cream, containing Olay's most concentrated amino-peptide formula ever.
    • Treats the difficult areas that some products ignore
    • Achieves dramatically younger-looking skin with the high levels of amino-peptide

Ok so this is the promise it is making and heres my diary of events so far.

    Week one
I have put this cream on my face but im going to have to be careful I think Im being too generous with it at this rate it isnt going to last five minutes.  It rubbed onto my face really well with no residue sitting on the top of my skin.
Day 4 of the first week got a few spots which I am hoping are not going to get worse it says unfragranced so not sure why unless its just too thick and clogging up my pores.

    Week two
Still got a few spots not liking that I normally only get them before my period but they say sometimes skin takes time to get used to a new product so heres hoping its the settling in period.

day 5 of the second week. Another spot has appeared just when the others had started to go, Im not liking that!  One more week and if I get anymore Im ditching this cream as you know girls theres nothing worse than arranging a night out only to find on the morning of that day you have a big spot!!

My skin does look nice though its certainly more hydrated than with other creams I have used, my Jaw doesnt look much different maybe just my skin a little plumper but still some sag so no miracles as yet but early days.  Im watching the spots though as whats the point of nice skin if you have spots its contradicts the whole thing.

    Week four

Ive jumped to week four mainly because its took my skin this long to stop breaking out and to be honest I had almost given up but its been 6 days since my last spot so all good.  I like the cream a lot and my jaw line is showing some signs of looking a bit firmer and and lines around my mouth dont look as deep when I smile so I would recommend it as I have seen an improvement not a jaw droping wow one but enough for now to keep me using it.

A good tip at night is to mix this with a few drops of argan oil as this really makes your skin nice and hydrated the next day.

    I will keep you updated.
It maybe worth trying the 3 point serum rather  than the cream if your prone to spots  as serums tend to be a liquid substance.

    UPDATE

Ok so its been a good what 8 months since I posted this wow time flies when your getting old!!
I give up on this as to many spots but if you don't break out then keep using it, shame though I liked this and it was unperfumed but was that enough!! maybe its not what it says in the description never mind onward and upward!!

    DERMAROLLER REVIEW

    DERMAROLLERS
This product can be purchased all over the Internet and caution should be made when purchasing one also you should be careful as to what size needle you choose.
If you want the deeper needles up to 2.0mm take note they are usually only used by beauty salons and do hurt with some bleeding and the face is usually numbed before the roller is used this method is only done every 6-8 weeks as this procedure usually goes quite deep into the skin personally im not interested in this much trauma to my skin but I hear it works well.

Moving onto me and my experience I bought a 0.5mm to use on my face which was £8.00 came in a sterile package and a nice box with it too, I did a bit of research first and thought the 0.2mm seems a bit of a waste of time as it doesnt penetrate deep enough into the skin and as I looked into other sizes thought the 1.0mm was a bit to thick so everything seemed to come down to the 0.5mm especially as a do it yourself treatment.

I did read the instructions carefully and even though I was nervous I went for it. The instructions are basically roll up six times roll across six times roll diagonally left 6 times and right 6 times then move onto the next area and repeat.

I did this but felt it wasnt enough so being the fool that I am did it again!!!! they say you maybe look a bit red like a sunburn but I ended up looking like I had been sunbathing all day without any sunscreen on and it was sore as hell, I managed to catch my nose a few times with led to it bleeding (nothing to bad) the next day it had eased off but was still a bit sore looking but my fault I thought I needed more rolls than needed.

Now the 0.5 mm roller recommends you can use it twice a week, but I had to wait a week as I was so over keen the first time that I think my face took a little bit longer to get back to normal.  The second time I used it was better and I didnt over do it.  I have used it 4 times and cant see any difference but I will give it a good try as it can take months to see improvements.

    Facts
It hurts not enough to make you scream but rolling needles over the face isnt like a nice massage its uncomfortable but bearable.

do not do this before a night out do it two days before a big event and dont overdo it either. wouldnt recommend you do it just before bed either.

Do not put your normal face cream straight on top of it leave it a good few hours first to settle down and dont put harsh face creams on as wouldnt think it would help.

If you have bleeding like I did around the nose then get yourself a bottle of witch hazel put some on cotton wool and dab the blooded areas, also use this to sterilise the roller to its a great all round cleanser.

Do not use on your eyelids or lips common sense here as its different skin.

Go from 6 rolls to 10 after a few gos if you skin is getting used to it.

If your husband laughs at your red face then slap his so it matches yours lol.

Take it easy with roller (weapon) its not a race you only have one face!!

I will keep this updated as as hoping this will as promised improve skin tone, scars, acne, and wrinkles.

Ok so I have been using this a while now Im not convinced as yet that its some new fantastic device and I dont recommend you use it twice a week as by the time your skin has settled down your using it again so doesnt make sense to do this.  I think that once a week is fine my skin looks good but Im not sure its down to this,  I will give it a couple of more months.

Max factor false lash effect waterproof mascara

Max factor false lash effect waterproof mascara £10.99 Boots or superdrug

This mascara was from Superdrug and to be honest the only reason I bought it was that simply I wanted the lipstick that if you bought it  you got the lipstick free ( well the lipstick was £7.99) so not a bad price £10.99 for two items.

As it turns out the lipstick was bloody awful haha and far to dark for my fair skin and thin lips!
I usually use No7 waterproof mascara not because I think its amazing mainly because it does the job I have sensitive eyes and I have to admit I play it safe (hate runny sore eyes.)

Make sure you try any eye product on a night before you arent  going anywhere important especially if you have sensitive eyes theres nothing worse than swollen puffy red eyes.  I do dye my eyelashes but only because I have a few grey ones (so not fair!) this doesnt make them look twice as big or extra thicker, dying them just makes them look better and healthier + its a bonus that I only have to apply clear mascara in the morning to go to work to look like ive only put a touch of mascara on but on a night out you want the glamour look not the subtle work look.

When I applied this I was fairly impressed it went on well, the wand was a bit larger than what Im used to but again wasnt a big problem, dont get me wrong my eyelashes werent like Sheryl coles lol but then again I dont wear fake ones (sorry chezz) but they were quite impressive.

I would give this an 8 I like it a lot and it doesnt iritate my eyes at all so big bonus!!

I was once advised that when you use your mascara and you pump the wand up and down more than you should the air goes inside and makes the liquid thicker and drys it out hence the lumps and clumps you sometimes end up with. This could be nonsence but I have found it has made the life of my mascara a bit longer.

As its waterproof make sure you have industrial make up remover to take it off see my other blog I have a good review for a decent one.

Avon Nail experts pearl shine 10ml

Avon Nail experts pearl shine 10ml

I purchased this from Avon via a Rep where I work (you can also buy online too)
It was cheaper than normal I think its a bit expensive selling from around £6.
Avon often have sales but its worth searching the internet for the best price.

I managed to get this for £3.  This is the second bottle I have bought I simply love this nail varnish it is light and goes on so easy if your rushing around at the last minute thinking OMG I havent done my nails as your just about out the door on your way to wherever.  My nails are quite short and stubby thanks to me biting them for nearly 20 years so I dont think they are going to be super perfect anytime soon so you work with what youve got.

I first bought this for my wedding day as I just wanted something subtle I mean you dont want people just staring at your nails and not you on your wedding day lol!!

As in the pic its a gorgeous pink but the liquid is lighter and clearer the best way to describe it is a pearlescent very pale pink liquid which isnt to runny or thick, it catches the light really nicely too.

I would score this really high 9 out of 10 loosing a point because the original bottle is poor its plastic and the brush at the end congeals (the liquid inside doesnt.) I wore this for a week without even having to change it so long lasting.

Better I think for shorter nailed girls, this also makes your nails look brighter and the tips whiter.

    Rimmel vinyl gloss shiny lipgloss

Rimmel vinyl gloss shiny lipgloss 730 cosmic £4.99 superdrug

I am not sure if this is a new product as I have only just noticed it.  I had a big night out over the queens Diamond Jubilee (just a party with the girls really lol) I was after a new lipstick  but needed something gold/bronze and looking at the tester thought this would be just the thing as it looks like a lovely darkish colour and therefore I should be able to wear this alone without a lipstick that you sometimes have to use to darken some lip glosses down, oh how wrong I was.

This lip gloss is wonderful if you want something for through the day as a night time product for your party outfit then its a big NO,  It went on pretty much clear and it was one of the darkest coloured ones on the shelf, it stays put a while and its very shiny but it wasnt what I wanted and I wont try the testers on as ive read to many articles on cold sores/cankers and how easy it is to contract them so please girls dont take the chance.

I have posted some pictures one is of my hand showing what I saw in the shop, looked good looked like it would be just what I wanted.

The other pictures are my lips with and my lips without please let me know if you have had the same problem. As you can see just a hint of colour really and doesnt look very bronze/gold.

Please dont waste a fiver on this as you could easily buy a collection 2000 gloss or other brands for a couple of pounds.

vivexin anti aging eye cream 15ml

vivexin anti aging eye cream 15ml £40+

Once again I am on the search for the perfect eye cream, one thats fights wrinkles and diminishes fine lines and crows feet ( I think this is some sort of holy grail thing does it actually exist!!)
I  bought this off Ebay after doing some research it was only about £13.00 so was worth trying.

This is what the its supposed to do-

    Haloxyl® Reduces Dark Circles:
Vivexin’ s main component is Haloxyl®. Haloxyl® is a clinically proven ingredient that is designed to reduce dark circles in two ways. First, it strengthens the capillaries around the eyes to reduce the leakage of blood. Second, it uses natural enzymes to breakdown the existing dark pigments under the eye.
    Eyeliss® for Puffy Eyes:
Eyeliss® is another key component found in Vivexin for reducing puffy eyes. Eyeliss® works in three distinct ways. First, it strengthens the capillaries and veins that leak fluid under the eye. Second, it promotes the drainage of fluid that collects under the eye. Finally, it decreases inflammation and reduces fine lines and the appearance of wrinkles.
    Matrixyl® Eliminates Wrinkles:
As you age, the underlying network of collagen and elastin under your skin begins to break down. It is this process that causes your skin to lose it firmness and wrinkle. The Matrixyl found in Vivexin reverses this process. By providing your body specific protein, your body is able to produce more collagen, thus filling in wrinkles.
One 15ml bottle is one months supply currently selling online for about £40

Ok now the liquid is kind of thick and milky it has a faint smell like surgical type of smell and it rubs in pretty good so I cant fault that.  The bottle is small and the design is a bit gaudy and cheap looking.

I have used this for a few months and I have to say MEH! it really isnt anything good, to be honest since I started using Argan oil (see my review for it I promise you will like it) only then did my dark circles actually look a bit better, this cream just doesnt seem to do anything for me-
    my lines are the same
My dark circles are the same (minus the Argan oil)
nothing is plumped or better in anyway

Now this product has all the ingredients that to me should work and I always buy from reputable sellers who have shops on ebay so to be double sure I bought the same product from a different seller and the product was exactly the same so I knew it must be the real cream. (Just for the doubters out there lol)

My verdict is dont bother Olay is probably better and more moisturising and cheaper.

I would like to warn people that Vivexin do a trial 20 days I think it is then you start paying please be careful Ive heard bad things about these free trials and would hate anyone to be ripped off for something that isnt all that good.

Argan Oil beauty wonder or just greasy face and hair?

    Argan Oil

I am always hearing so much about this oil mainly for hair, I remember my sister staying at my house and me snooping through her beauty products (come onnnn we are all nosey) I found argan oil and put it on my face not being that impressed but that was until she told me that particular kind was for hair and had other products in it (meaning it wasnt 100% pure)

I finely give into this niggling voice in my head telling me to buy some, yes like the one that speaks to me when I see a bag or shoes I like too (dam voice cost me a fortune)
I did what I usually do I went on Ebay and had a look around as I just wanted to try a small bottle, now the advice is.

Always buy the oil in a glass bottle especially tinted to protect the oil from light.

Buy 100% unroasted do not buy deodorised as this can kill some of the goodness and make it less pure

It should be yellowy orange and have a smell a bit nutty, to be honest I just cant describe the smell its just weird, but disappears in seconds once you rub it in.

Always make sure that after 5 mins or so it sinks in it shouldnt sit on top of the skin.

The hardest thing is finding someone that sells the real deal and not some mixed variation the first sample I bought on ebay was way to thick, greasy and didnt sink in very well ok so I got it wrong but it was £2.80 for a small bottle which was plastic (but I didnt think then it mattered.) Also beware of the Argan oil that they use for cooking as people may try to sell this im not sure what the difference is I assume its tastier lol.

My second attempt was ebay again the product was in a small amber glass bottle and It is lovely its by a seller named Blackstonesupplies (I do not know them or are advertise them I simply am I telling you where I bought one just in case you think they are my friends lol)

I will buy this again but I know have opted for a bigger bottle as im hooked.

It does promise to do a lot of things which I think maybe over reacting a bit its only oil from a nut not some miracle antil-wrinkle product.  I havent used it on my hair yet as I havent really got dry hair but I hear its good for that so worth buying it for both if you need too.

I use it by putting on face cream, eye cream then about half an hour before bed I just gently rub some of this in and when I wake up my skin looks pretty darn good. Then in the morning put a tiny bit on my face and hands and dont forget your neck.  Ive been using it for a week now and already I had someone thinking I was 30 woohoo that will do for me its been a while since I had a compliment that good.

Just use it in with your usual beauty regime and you wont go wrong and make sure its real 100%  oil

So the sellers blackstonesupplies and returnallhealthmineralmakeupskincare and I have heard a website called Mir is good too so may try that sometime.

My opinion give it a go.  I bought a 50ml glass jar for roughly a tenner and the smaller bottle was £3.50 so your not going to break the bank.

If any of you use it for your hair please can you add your comments thanks.

Soltan Aftersun Hydrating Spray With Insect Repellent 200ml

Soltan Aftersun Hydrating Spray With Insect Repellent 200ml on offer for £3.49 normal RRP is £6.99 spray on.

I had a lovely Holiday in Fuerteventura with my Hubby in May 2012 I have written various reviews on P20, Soltan once SPF30, Soltan kids SPF50, No7 facial sunscreen.

After using a sunscreen I had chosen for the day then later after a shower it was time to put on the after sun which for a woman isnt such a chore as most of us use some form of body moisturiser after being washed but I had to keep asking Hubby as hes not into all that body beautiful thing (apart from his face he says his body isnt dry and doesnt need it) but he did use this after a bit of wife nagging.

To be honest it wasnt what I expected after being disapointed by the sun screen Soltan once I didnt know what to  find when I sprayed it on.  It was ok smelling and it was quite a thin clear liquid which on first reaction you think their isnt going to be enough moisturiser in it.  But it proved me wrong it is one of the best I have used and I change every year ive had Avon and banana boat to just aloe vera gel. It went on really well and dried quickly wasnt sticky at all. I never once felt my skin was dry or itchy it was perfect for me.

My husband said it was ok (he said he used it but I dont think he did!!) it says insect repellent but my Hubby got bitten twice off some insect or other but then if he didnt use it then serves him right.  I never got bitten once.

I would give it 9 out of 10 and will buy it next year too.

    Heres the instructions and info.

Rieman P20 once a day sun screen

    Rieman P20 once a day

Me and my Husband went to Fuerteventura for a week in May and took an aray of sunscreens including this P20 (check my other reviews for Soltan once, Kids soltan once and no7 face spf30 & 50.)

I have to say Im so fed up with people praising this product to the point I start yawning because I think ok enough already its great its fantastic blah blah blah.  So when Hubby was looking for a sunscreen he could put on and forget about (hes lazy!!) I suggested this product P20.

We managed to get it on offer for £8.99 for 100ml which isnt bad as you can pay anything up to £13.99 for the smaller bottle and about £24.99 full price for the 200ml.

The first day my Hubby opened it he wasnt happy the liquid looked like orange thick wee (eewww) and he said it smelt a bit strange to.  Once he had rubbed it in he was glad he couldnt smell anything and that it had rubbed in and dried really well. He also said a lot seemed to go a long way as I was worried the bottle wouldnt be big enough for a week for a 6ft 1 bloke!

After a few days Hubby declared he loved this product (yawn lol) he never had to reapply once and he still got a good tan he didnt burn at all and is still raving on about it now!!

He would give it 9 out of 10 as he didnt like the smell lol!!

Normally I wouldnt use this as factor 20 is just to low for me but as I already had a bit of a tan I decided to use it the last day and a half of our holiday mainly because the one I had used all week was getting on my nerves and I wanted something to just put on and not feel sticky or have to worry about burning (a bit lazy too!)  and after seeing Hubby love it so much I wanted a piece of this P20 pie. I applied it in the same way and I loved the way it dried instantly I rubbed it in everywhere but my face and went about my day.  Alas by midday my shoulders, collar bone were burning and my wrists (dont ask me why but these are the hot spots I have problems with) I had to revert to old sticky Soltan for the rest of the day.

I wish I wish that they did P30 how fantastic that would be as my legs and arms were great and they didnt burn they just turned a nice shade of brown.

I would give this a 6 out of 10 sadly im to pale for this level of SPF product so I guess Im still looking for the perfect sunscreen I even Have a SPF 70 which I got from America but I keep forgetting I have it and am afraid like most I will end up looking like Casper the ghost!!!

    No7 Anti-AgeingFacial Protect SPF 50 & SPF 30 50ml

    No7 Anti-AgeingFacial Protect SPF 50 & SPF 30  50ml RRP £11

If you are in the uk then you will know that Boots the chemist do a five pound voucher for No7 now and again when you purchase something I think its over £5 you get one.  Well being the bargain hunter that I am I used this to buy the no7 spf 50 face sun screen for £6 instead of £11 BARGAIN!!

My husband being the copy cat he is used my idea and bought himself the no7 SPF30 for his face.
We bought these for our Trip to Fuerteventura which we went to in May 2012 The canaries are Hot so we took various sunscreens check out my other reviews on Soltan Once, 30 SPF and Kids Once soltan SPF50 and P20.

The info provided by Boots is-

No7 Anti-Dark Spot Facial Sun Protection SPF 50 50ml Contains Optisol a dual action sun filter that reflects damaging UV light from your skin and acts as a powerful antioxidant against damaging free radicals. No7's skin brightening complex helps improve appearance of skin tone and colour whilst also helping to prevent dark spots and hyper-pigmentation caused by the sun.

    • Five star UVA protection
    • Contains broad spectrum of UVA and UVB filters

    How to Use

Use gentle circular strokes to massage into your skin 15 minutes before going out into the sun. Reapply every 1-2 hours and after swimming or towelling. To get the required SPF apply generously.
    Suitable for use under make-up.

The SPF 30 is the same information as above.

I applied this on my face as instructed it was a gorgeous white creamy liquid and went on really well and it dried quickly and not sticky, my husband agreed it was really nice and didnt have a high perfume as some sunscreens do. Its boasts of having the duel action qualities of stoping sun burn and anti-aging.

We went about our day (we like to go out for the day walking and eating and walking and drinking you get the idea lol) after an hour my face was starting to burn and felt tight I always know thats a sign my face is getting sun burnt eeeeeekkkk!!

I had to apply my emergency  mini tube of sunscreen I carry around on holiday Soltan kids factor 50 for most of the day, my husband managed 2 hours before he was asking for extra sunscreen too as his forehead was burning.

I did this again the following day and put on extra just to make sure that I was putting enough on my face, but exactly the same thing happend I know it does say that you need to reapply but who can be bothered to do that every hour!!!!! its just too much hassle and when I bought it I do put my hands up to admit I didnt really read the full instructions ooops so hadnt realised you needed to reapply every 1 to 2 hours.

A bit disappointed with this I think I will use this in the UK for a normal face cream as I do like it and for when I ride my bike as for heavy abroad sunshine I wouldnt recommend as I just dont think it has enough power in it to do the Job.

I would give it 6 out of 10 I know it will be good for the Uk summer (what summer!!! lol)

My Husband is darker skinned than me so his usage of this cream did last a bit longer than me so in his opinion if your darker skinned then try it as Im dark but with very fair skin so burn easy so this may be a thing to look out for if your thinking of purchasing this product.

I did use this but to be honest I didnt like it very much like the soltan 30spf it was sticky and this one made my face shine so much it wasnt attractive lol, it got into my eyes my sunglasses kept sliding off my face.  The cream was yellowish and thick, I know its for kids but I thought it would be perfect for my skin, it didnt rub in well either so god help the poor mothers who battle everyday to use this on their kids.

It probably would work if you didnt get it anywhere near your eyes or having to constantly push your sunglasses up so that probably took the cream off a few times as one day my nose was a bit burnt.

Its not that cheap either at normal rrp price and it was ok for a mini to have as an emergency in your bag.  I had to keep using it as we would be out most of the day and the no7 sunscreen wasnt a once application so I was aware I would need to use extra later on that day.

I would give it 4 out of 10
I took a Banana boat spf50 sports cream that I had some left off last year from B&M for £1.50 it was still in my case so I had left it im glad I did as I ended up using this by the end of the week it wasnt a once cream but it fitted in my bag so I was happy taking that instead, plus it was white cream not to thick rubbed in well and didnt leave a sticky shine on my face.

I left the soltan kids cream behind where we were staying as theres no way I would have used that again.

    Soltan Once SPF30 Boots

Soltan Once 200ml spf 30 Boots Bought for half price at the time £8.49 rrp is £16.99 spray on

I bought this and a few other sun screens for my holiday in the Canaries, Fuerteventura to be exact, I usually buy  factor 50 for my face/chest and 30 for my body as I  think you really need to be careful with your skin.

This appealed to me as it was a once application for 8 hours I mean who doesnt want to just put sun screen on forget about it and get on with your holiday 99% of us for sure.
This is the info told by Boots

1 application gives up to 8 sun hours protection.*
This easily absorbed spray provides all day protection with only one application as well as helping to moisturise, reduce dryness and prevent peeling. All Soltan sun products have been awarded a maximum five-star rating against deep-down skin damage caused by UVA rays.
    Extra Benefits
    • Water resistant
    • Dermatologically tested
    • Includes patented antioxidant complex to help protect against long-term skin damage
    • Non-pore blocking
    * Provided you follow the instructions

    How to Use

    • Apply 15 minutes before going into the sun
    • Spray on generously using 2-3 tablespoons full of product for the entire body. Rub in well
    • 1 application allows for up to 8 hours sun exposure and 40 minutes water exposure*
    • Reapply if you spend more time in the water
    • One bottle contains 6 applications for the average body size
    • This product is designed for normal wear but should be applied after towelling dry or other abrasive contact
    • Bathing or showering will remove the product

    Hazards and Cautions

    • Avoid the midday sun (between 11am and 3pm)
    • Seek shade and cover up
    • Overexposure to the sun is a serious health threat
    • Avoid contact with fabrics
    • Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with water
    • Do not spray directly on to face. Spray on hands first and rub in.
    * Provided you follow the instructions

I did as per instructed and I rubbed and I rubbed but it never dried so I thought maybe I had over done it, but the next day and the next day was the same you would think that once it was on it would not remain sticky and you would forget about it, well I didnt it irritated the hell out of me and by the end of the week I was so sick of it I nicked my Husbands P20.

Its a white cream and not too thick when you squirted it out so you think its going to be good, Im not a sweaty person so it wasnt like I was covered in sweat when I applied it or put it over previous applications!!

But I will say it did what it said on the bottle I didnt get sun burned although I did have to apply a 50 to my shoulders but im a bit bony so thats probably why.
If you dont mind the stickiness then go for this but when I put a cardi around by shoulders when it got a bit windy I knew when I took it off the cream had rubbed off so be aware of that as you will need to reaply to that area again.

I would give it 5 out of 10 I wont be buying it as at full price its really to expensive there are cheaper ones which I will be checking out for my next summer holiday. I left this in my appartment as I didnt see any point in putting it back in my case.

Its a very cheap hairdryer and its an excellent buy ive had mine over a year and I dont give it enough credit I mean we practically use them everyday and we take them for granted so I thought I would share this with you I love babyliss and I always have great things to say about them, I have babyliss straightners too which when my GHD's decided to just pack up I ran out and bought them (if your like me you cannot live without them) well anyway they were only £29.99 and im happy with them too I didnt even feel the need to replace my GHDs.

Always try to get your hairdryer at least  2000 watts or over as less than that then you may take way over the normal 10 mins ish for short 20ish mins for long hair and your hair straightners 235 degrees that may sound extreme if your not sure what to buy but believe me I have had less heated ones and have done my hair more damage by having to go over my hair more with them rather than use the hotter ones that will straighten your hair first or second attempt always use a heat defence spray/serum as makes a lot of difference.

Great item 8/10 would score higher but will upgrade to 2200 babyliss of course maybe in the next 6 months.
